Alaina has been attending UVG Portsmouth for 3 months but in that time has already had the opportunity to perform in public and take part in our artists development activities. As well as singing Alaina also plays guitar and is a keen song writer.
Alaina says…
“I have been at the UVG for about three months and have participated in one performance, busking at the meridian centre. I have also sung as a duet at one of our open rehearsals and also recently performed an orginal song written by me and another member of the group. One of my favourite moments would be the song writing master-class as I feel as though it has benefited me greatly and given me more confidence to write my own songs.
I will be studying drama, media, history and the other core subjects for gcse and my ambiton is to do something in the acting/singing industry, although I am also interested in joining the police force
The UVG has been important to me as it has given me self confidence, new experiences and friends. I do believe it is different to other youth choirs…the UVG is more homely and it’s free along with it having a lot of opportunities.”
