Chloe and Josie

Chloe and Josie joined UVG Chichester in February 2015 and before attending the group they were already performing as as a duo at local venues. They were very keen to develop their talent as vocalists and also as song writers and this led to them having the opportunity participate in our first song writing residential held in March 2015. They have also recorded in local studios both as a duo and as part of the UVG ensemble

Chloe says…

“I’ve been a member of UVG for 3 months but I haven’t done any performances with yet. Although Josie and I have performed as a duo at a couple of UVG rehearsals. At school I am currently studying music, art, geography and french along with my core subjects. I hope to continue to study music and do something in that area. One of my favourite moments from UVG was recording in the Old Blacksmiths studios i really enjoyed it and felt that it was a great experience. I also loved the songwriting masterclass which I took part in as I felt it made me much more confident for writing my own songs.

UVG is important to me as it has helped me a lot with my confidence on stage as well as off stage. It has given me a lot of great opportunities and new experiences. I think that UVG is different to other youth choirs as it is very relaxed and fun also we get a say in what we do and the songs we sing.”

Josie Says…

“I have been a member of UVG for 3 months but I haven’t done any performances yet. Next year I will be studying music, photography, geography and agriculture along with my core subjects. In the future I would like to work either in the music industry or with animals. My favourite moment with UVG was when we got to use the Old Blacksmiths recording studios because it was really interesting using the equipment and it was a great experience.

UVG is important to me as I love having the chance to meet new people and I love singing as part of a group. I think that UVG is different to other youth choirs because everyone is more enthusiastic and it’s music that everyone enjoys”
